True-heart Trudeau

Remember the days when you could hang out with Mick and the gang at the El Mo, dancing all night with no panties? And then go home to your husband, the prime minister of Canada? Yeah, that was hot. Laura Bolton plays a dazzlingly disoriented Margaret Trudeau, the shining star of her own party on the dancefloor of the Drake Underground (1150 Queen W.). Back in the last days of disco, the rich and powerful rubbed up – I mean, literally rubbed – against the downwardly mobile, as long as they all had style. We like to believe that the city has some secret, glittering speakeasies where drug-addled international beauties pass out in the laps of the locals after exhausting themselves with Dubai shopping binges.
