REMEMBRANCE DAY Nov 11
Fort York and the Toronto Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of Empire present the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Strachan Avenue Military Cemetery, just west of Fort York. The service will feature military costumed staff from the fort and standard bearers from the IODE. A processional parade, led by fife and drum, will gather at Fort York's parking lot at 10:45am and march to the cemetery. This service honours soldiers from the Toronto Garrison who were killed in the War of 1812, the Rebellion Crises, the Crimean War, the Northwest Rebellion, the South African War, the two World Wars, the Korean War and recent conflicts. Toronto's only sports facility exclusive to basketball offers 365-day availability for pick-up b-ball. HoopDome is open daily from 9:30am to 11pm. Day passes for adults are $10, $7.50 for youth (under 18). Monthly and yearly passes are also available for $45 and $265 respectively. CYCLO-CROSS Nov 10-11
Come to Centennial Park in Etobicoke to experience a two-day cyclo-cross extravaganza presented by the Midweek Cycling Club. At 1:45pm on the opening day, male and female students from Grades 5 to 12 will participate in the second annual Schools Cyclo-cross Championship sponsored by Ontario Potato Distribution. There also over $4,000 in prize money up for grabs in other elite adult races over the weekend. Enjoy the races from a courtside seat in the Amsterdam Brewery-sponsored beer tent. Cyclo-cross enthusiasts can also improve their cycling skills every Tuesday night until the end of November. The program combines skills training, practice areas and races for ages 10 and up. SCAVENGER HUNT FOR SINGLES Nov 11
Race around the city to collect points and maybe a few phone numbers at Meet Market Adventure's Urban Scavenger Hunt. Teams have three hours to collect as many items on the list as possible. Unattached urbanites interested in this challenging event should make their way to the Fox & Fiddle pub at 106 John at 12:30pm to get in on all the hot action.

IMPROVE YOUR STROKE Nov 14-25
Receive progressive stroke technique training from qualified swim instructors at Oannes Swims. This intensive two-week program includes 11 hours in water and one hour of video analysis.
